Materials Needed:

Size E Crochet Hook

Small amount of 4 Ply Yarn – Red – White – Blue

Stripes

With Red yarn – ch 22 – turn – sc in the 1^st ch from hook.

R1: Sc in @ st across – drop red yarn. (21) sts

R2: Join White yarn in first red sc of row below with a ch 2 – sc in @ st across – drop white yarn.

R3: Turn work – pick up Red yarn – sl st through outside of last white sc of row below – ch 2 – sc in @ st across – drop red yarn.

R4: Pick up White yarn – sl st through outside of first red sc of row below – ch 2 – sc in @ st across – drop white yarn.

R5-R6: Repeat R3-R4.

R7-R13: Repeat R3–R4 across 14 sts – leaving last 7 sts unworked. End of 13 – finish off all yarns.

R14: Join Blue yarn to the first unused st of R6 with a ch 2 – sc in @ of the unused 6 sts – sl st through the turning sl st of the red/white rows – turn.

R15: Sc in @ st across – turn – ch 2.

R16: Sc in @ st across – sl st through turn sl st of the red/white rows – turn.

R17-R20: Repeat R15-R16. End of R20 – finish off blue yarn.

Stars

Using needle & White yarn - work 13 French Knots in a circle in the center of the Blue field.

Optional - Repeat on 2^nd side of Flag.
