Small amount of 4 Ply Yarn – Red - Mexicana                  

4" - 1/4" elastic - sewn into a circle

 

 

Dress

 

With Red yarn – starting at the upper edge - ch 22 – join – ch 3.

 

R1-R3: Dc in @ st around – join – ch 3. End of R3 – ch 2. (22 dc)

 

R4: Working over an elastic circle – sc in @ st around – join – ch 3.

 

R5: * 2 dcs in next st – dc in next st * - repeat around – join – ch 3. (33 dc)

 

R6-R10: Dc in @ st around – join. End of R10 – finish off.

 

Skirt Fringe – cut 34 - 2" threads. Loop around cross bar of @ dc of R10. Trim.

 

Strap – Join yarn to upper center back st – ch 2 – sc in next 2 sts – ch 8 – skipping next 5 sts – sc in

next 6 sts – ch 8 – skipping next 5 sts – sc in last 3 sts – join – finish off.

 

Sleeves

 

R1: Join yarn to center underarm st – ch 3 – dc in @ st around – join – ch 3. (12 dc)

 

R2: * Dc next 2 sts together – dc in next st * - repeat around – join. Finish off. (9 dc)

 

Repeat for second sleeve.

 

Upper Edge Fringe – cut 34 – 2" threads – loop same as for skirt fringe – around bars of first row of dcs on dress back – both sleeves – and dress front.

 

 

Hat

With Red yarn – starting at top – ch 4 – join to form a circle – ch 2.

R1: Work 9 scs in center of circle – join – ch 3. (10 sc)

R2: * 2 dcs in next st – dc in next st * - repeat around – join – ch 2. (15 dc)

R3: Working in back loops only – sc in @ st around – join – ch 3.

R4: Dc in @ st around - join – ch 2.

R5: Sc in @ st around – join – ch 3.

R6: * 2 dcs in next st – dc in next st * - repeat around – join – ch 3. (20 dc)

R7: * 2 dcs in next st - dc in next st * - repeat around – join – finish off. (30 dc)

Hat Band – With Mexicana yarn – leaving a 2" thread - ch 30 – leaving a 2" thread - finish off.

Tie around hat and tack down – trim ends.
