2 Ounces of 4 Ply Cotton Thread - [Sugar & Cream] brand – White – Pink

4" of ¼" Elastic – sewn into a circle

Skirt

With Pink thread - working over an elastic circle – ch 2 – 26 scs – join – ch3. (27) sts

R1-R4: Dc in @ st around – join – ch 3.

R5: Dc in same space – dc in @ st around join – ch 3. (28) sts

R6: * Skipping the next st – [sc – ch 1 – sc – ch 1 – sc] in the next st – skipping the

next st – sc in the next st * - repeat around – join – finish off thread. (7) shells

Shell Top

With White thread – starting at upper edge - ch 24 – join to form a circle – ch 2.

R1: Sc in @ ch around – join – drop white thread. (24) sts

R2: Join Pink thread to center back st – ch 2 - * skipping the next st – [sc – ch 1 – sc – ch 1 – sc] in the next st – skipping the next st – sc in the next st * - repeat around – join – drop pink thread. (6) shells

R3: Pick up White thread – ch 3 – [2] dcs in the same space - * {working in the back loop only – sc in the center sc of previous shell} –working through all loops - [3] dcs in the next single sc st * - ch 2 – skipping all sts of the next shell (1^st armhole make) - working through all loops - [3] dcs in the next single sc st - repeat *---* 2 time more - ch 2 – skipping all sts of the next shell (2^nd armhole make) –working through all loops - [3] dcs in the next single sc st – working in the back loop only – sc in the center sc of the last shell – join – ch 3. (6) shells

R4: Dc in the next 6 sts – dc the next 2 sts together - dc in the next 11 sts – dc the next 2 sts together – dc in the remaining 4 sts – join – drop white thread. (24) sts

Hat

With White thread - starting at center top – ch 3.

R1: Work 9 scs in the center of circle – join – ch 2. (10) sts

R2: Sc in the same space – 2 scs in @ st around – join – ch 2. (20) sts

R3: Working in the back loops only – sc in @ st around – join – ch 3.

R4: Dc in @ st around – join – ch 2.

R5: Trim – working to your right (backwards) sc in @ st around – join – finish off white thread.
