Backless - Scallop Ruffled Dress / Hair Scrunchy

Materials Needed:

Size 00 Crochet Hook

2 Ounces of 4 Ply Yarn – Leddie – Pale Plum

4" of ¼" Elastic – sewn into a circle

Backless Dress

Starting at upper edge – with Leddie yarn – ch 22 – join to form a circle – ch 3.

R1-R3: Dc in @ st across – turn – ch 3. End of R3 – ch2. (22 dc)

R4: Working over an elastic circle – sc in @ st around – join – ch 3.

R5: Dc in same space – 2 dcs in @ st around – join – ch 3. (44 dc)

R6-R8: Dc in @ st around – join – ch 3.

R9: * Dc in next 10 sts – 2 dcs in next st * - repeat around – join – finish off. (48 dc)

R10: Scallop Trim – join Pale Plum yarn to lower center back st – ch 5 – work [tr – ch 1] – 3 times – tr - in same st - (5 tr – ch 1) - * skipping next 2 sts – sc in next st – skipping next 2 sts - ** tr – ch 1 ** - 5 times in next st – repeat *---* around – join – finish off. (8 scallops)

Neck tie:

R1: Join the yarn to the 8th st from the upper center back st with a ch 3 - dc in the next 6 sts. (7) sts.

Now turn and work back across the 7 sts as follows ...

R2: Sl st into the next st - ch 3 - hdc in the next st - sc in the center st - hdc in the next st - dc in the next st -ch 15 (first tie) - finish off yarn.

Join yarn to the top of the first st - opposite side of R2 - ch 15 (second tie) - finish off yarn.

Hair Scrunchy

With Pale Plum yarn – ch 30 – join to form a circle – ch 3.

R1: *Skipping next ch – sc –ch 2 - in next ch * - repeat around – join. (15 ch2 loops)

R2: Sl st into first unused ch on opposite side of beginning chain – ch 3 - * skipping next ch – sc – ch 2 in - next st * - repeat around in all unused top loops of beginning ch – join – finish off.
