Pleated Skirt with Fluffy Sweater and Hat

Materials Needed:

Size E Crochet Hook

2 Ounces of 4 Ply Yarn – Heather – Petal Pink

4" piece of ¼" Elastic – sewn into a circle

Skirt

Starting at side edge – with Heather yarn – ch 21 – turn.

R1: Sc in 2^nd st from hook – sc in @ ch across – turn – ch 2. (19) sts

R2: Working in back loop only – sc in @ st across – turn – ch 2. (19) sts

R3-R27: Repeat R2. End of R27 – fold skirt in half – with wrong side of work facing – sl st sides together – ch 2 – turn skirt to right side.

Skirt Band – Working over an elastic circle at the same time – sc in @ row across top of skirt – join – finish off.

Sweater

Starting at lower edge – with Petal Pink yarn – ch 16 loosely – turn.

R1: Dc in 4th st from hook – dc in @ ch across – turn – ch 3. (14) sts

R2: Dc in @ st across – turn – ch 3. (14) sts

R3-R6: Repeat R2.

R7: Dc in next 3 sts – ch 6 – skipping the next 6 sts - dc in remaining 4 sts – turn – ch 3.

R8: Dc in @ st + @ ch across – turn – ch 3. (14) sts

R9-R13: Repeat R 2. End of R13 – finish off.

Sleeves

R1: With right side of work facing – working along either side of open sweater - join Petal Pink yarn to the beginning st of R4 with a ch 3 – work 2 dcs in @ st of the next 7 rows – turn. (14) sts

R2: Sl st into next st – ch 3 – dc in next 11 sts – turn. (12) sts

R3-R4: Repeat R2. (10)( 8) sts. End of R4 – fold sweater and sleeve with wrong side face – sl st down side seam – finish off.

Repeat for second sleeve.

[NOTE] If you brush sweater pieces with a soft brush, you will be able to fluff up the yarn to look like Angora.

Hat

With Heather yarn – ch 4 – join to form a circle – ch 3.

R1: Work 8 dcs in circle – join – ch 2. (9) sts

R2: Sc in same space - 2 scs in @ st around – join – ch 2. (18) sts

R3: Working in back loops only – sc in @ st around – join – drop heather yarn.

R4: Join Petal Pink yarn – ch 3 – dc in @ st around – join – drop pink yarn.

R5: Picking up Heather yarn – ch 2 - sc in @ st around – join - ch 3.

R6: *2 dcs in next st - dc in next st * - repeat around – join – finish off heather yarn. (30) sts

R7: Picking up Petal Pink yarn – ch 2 – sc in next 2 sts – * 2 scs in next st – sc in next 3 sts * - repeat around – join – finish off.
