Flared Skirt

With Navy yarn - working over an elastic circle – ch 2 – 21 scs – join – ch3. (22) sts

R1-R2: Dc in @ st around – join – ch 3.

R3: * Dc in the next 5 sts – dc the next 2 sts together * - repeat around – join – ch 2. (19) sts

R4: * Dc in the next 4 sts – dc the next 2 sts together * - repeat around – join – ch 3. (16) sts

R5: * [2] dcs in the next st – dc in the next st * - repeat around – join – ch 3. (24) sts

R6: Repeat R5 – join – finish off navy yarn. (36) sts

Boat Neck Top

With Argyle yarn – starting at upper edge - ch 24 – join to form a circle – ch 2.

R1: Sc in @ ch around – join – ch 3. (24) sts

R2: Dc in the next 4 sts – ch 4 – skipping the next 2 sts – dc in the next 10 sts – ch 4 – skipping the next 2 sts – dc in the last 5 sts – join – ch 3.

R3-R4: Dc in @ st around – join – ch 3. End of R4 – ch 2. (28) sts

R5: Dc in the next 3 sts - * dc the next 2 sts together – dc in the next 2 sts * - repeat around – join – finish off argyle yarn. (21) sts

2 Colored Hat

R1: With Navy yarn - starting at hat brim – ch 16 – join to form a circle – finish off navy yarn.

R2: Join Argyle yarn to center back ch – ch 4 – tr in @ st around – join – ch 1. (16) trs

R3: Sc in the next st - * sc the next 2 sts together * - repeat around – join – finish off argyle yarn – leaving a 3 " thread. (8) sts.

Weave 3" thread through all sts – draw up tight – pull through to inside of hat – tie off – trim.
