Dropped Waist Dress & Shawl

Materials Needed:

Size 00 Crochet Hook

2 Ounces of 4 Ply Yarn – Light Mint – Soft White

Dress

Starting at upper edge – with White yarn – ch 22 - join to form a circle – ch 3.

R1: Sc in @ st around – join – ch 3. (22) sts

R2: Dc in the next 6 sts - * ch 1 – skipping the next st – dc in the next 3 sts * - repeat once – dc in the remaining 7 sts – join – ch 2.

R3: Sc in the next 6 sts - * skipping ch 1 – insert hook through the skipped st of the row below – draw loop up to same height as the row being worked – wrap yarn around hook – work off both loops on hook [long sc st] – sc in the next 3 sts * - repeat once – sc in the remaining 7 sts – join – ch 3.

R4: Dc in the next 4 sts - * ch 1 – skipping the next st – dc in the next 3 sts * - repeat twice – dc in the last 5 sts – join – ch 2.

R5: Sc in the next 4 sts - * long sc st in the next st – sc in the next 3 sts * - repeat twice more – sc in the remaining 5 sts – join - ch 3.

R6-R7: Repeat R2-R3.

R8: Dc in the next st - * dc in the next 2 sts – [2] dcs in the next st * - repeat around – join – ch 3. (28) sts

R9-R10: Dc in @ st around – join – ch 3. End of R10 – ch 2.

R11: Sc in @ st around – join – ch 3.

R12: Dc in the next 2 sts - * ch1 – skipping the st – dc in the next 3 sts * - repeat around – join – ch 2.

R13: Sc in the next 2 sts - * long sc st in the next st – sc in the next 3 sts * - repeat around – join – finish off white yarn.

Straps

Join White yarn to upper center back st – ch 2 – sc in next 2 sts – ch 6 – skipping next 5 sts – sc in next 6 sts – ch 6 – skipping the next 5 sts – sc in the last 3 sts – join - finish off.

Sleeves

R1: Join White yarn to center underarm st – ch 3 – dc in @ st around – join – ch 2. (13) sts

R2: * Sc the next [2] sts together * - repeat around – join – finish off white yarn. (7) sts

Repeat for 2^nd sleeve.

Long St Shawl

With White yarn – ch 49 – turn – sc in the 3^rd ch from hook.

R1: Sc in @ st across – finish off white yarn. {Front of work} (47) sts

R2: With front of work facing - join Light Mint yarn with a ch 2 – sc in @ st across – finish off mint yarn.

R3: With front of work facing – join White yarn with a ch 3 – dc in the next 2 sts - * ch 1 – skipping the next st – dc in the next 3 sts * - repeat across – finish off white yarn.

R4: With front of work facing – join Light Mint yarn with a ch 2 - * sc in the next 2 sts - * skipping the ch 1 – [long sc st] in the next st – sc in the next 3 sts * - repeat across – finish off mint yarn.

R5: With front of work facing – join White yarn with a ch 2 – sc in @ st across – finish off white yarn.

Fringe: Cut [20] 4" lengths of White Yarn – using [2] threads per knot – tie fringe in center of @ end st across both short edges – trim.
