Christmas Print Sweater and Pleated Skirt

Materials Needed:

Size 00 Crochet Hook

2 oz. 4 Ply Yarn – Aran - Claret / Med. Sage / Holly & Ivy

4" of ¼" elastic – sewn into a circle

Skirt

With Aran yarn - starting at side seam edge - ch 16 - turn - sc in 3^rd ch from hook.

R1: Sc in @ ch across - turn - ch 2. (15) sts [Wrong side of work.]

R2-R7: Working in back loops only - sc in @ st across - turn - ch 2.

R8-R27: Sc in @ st across - turn - ch 2. End of R27 - finish off aran yarn.

Seam - With right side of work facing - lay pleated edge on top of straight edge - lining up beginning ch to match top loops of R25 - join Aran yarn to the 6^th ch from bottom of skirt - sl st through the remaining 9 sts to top edge - ch 2.

R28: Working over an elastic circle at the same time - sc in @ st around - lining up and working through overlapped sts - join - finish off aran yarn. (25) sts

Sweater

[NOTE] Before starting - wind several yards of Aran yarn into a 2^nd ball.

With 1^st ball of Aran yarn - starting at lower edge - ch 14 - finish off aran yarn.

R1: Join Claret yarn to 1^st ch with a ch 3 - dc in the next 5 sts - drop claret yarn - join 2^nd ball of Aran yarn - dc in the next 2 sts - drop aran yarn - join Holly & Ivy yarn - dc in the remaining 6 sts - turn - ch 3. (14) sts

R2: Dc in the next 5 sts - finish off H & I yarn - pick of Aran yarn - dc in the next 2 sts - drop aran yarn - pick up Claret yarn - dc in the remaining 6 sts - finish off claret yarn.

R3: With front of work facing - join 1^st ball of Aran yarn with a ch 2 hdc in @ st across - finish off 1^st ball of aran yarn.

R4-R5: With front of work facing - repeat R1-R2 with reverse of Holly & Ivy yarn and replacing Med. Sage yarn for Claret yarn. End of R5 - finish off all yarns.

R6: Repeat R3 to last st - turn - ch 2.

R7: Hdc in the next 3 sts - ch 6 - skipping the next 6 st - hdc in the remaining 4 sts - turn - ch 2.

R8: Hdc in @ st across - finish off aran yarn.

R9-R13: With front of work facing - repeat R1-R5 - finish off all yarns.

Collar

With front of work facing - join Claret yarn to the 1^st st of back neck opening with a ch 3- dc in @ st across back - dc in center of shoulder row - dc in @ front neck st - dc in 2^nd shoulder row - join - finish off claret yarn.

Sleeves

R1: With front of work facing - join Aran yarn to the 1^st side edge with a ch 2 in R3 - 2 hdcs in @ dc row - 1 hdc in @ hdc row across to R11 - finish off aran yarn. (13) sts

R2: With front of work facing - skipping 1^st st - join Med. Sage yarn to the next st with a ch 3 - dc in the next 10 sts - finish off sage yarn. (11) sts

R3: With front of work facing - skipping 1^st st - join Aran yarn to the next st with a ch 2 - hdc in the next 8 sts - finish off aran yarn. (9) sts

R4: With front of work facing - join Claret yarn to 1^st st with a ch 3 - dc in @ st across - finish off claret yarn.

R5: With front of work facing - join Aran yarn to 1^st st with a ch 2 - sc in @ st across.

Fold sweater with wrong side of working facing - sl st through all sleeve and side seam sts - finish off aran yarn.

Repeat for 2^nd Sleeve

Lower Edging

With front of work facing - join Aran yarn to side seam with a ch 2 - sc in @ st around - join - finish off aran yarn.
