Materials Needed:

2 Ounces of 4 Ply Yarn – Black - Red Heart ‘Soft’ Country Rose [#7773]

DRESS

Starting at lower edge – with Country Rose yarn – ch 20 - join to form circle – ch 3.

R1-R7: Dc in @ st around – join – ch 3. (20) sts

R8: Dc in the same space – sc in the next 8 sts – [2] dcs in the last st – do not join – turn – ch 3. (24) sts

R9: Sc in the same space – sc in the next 11 sts – turn – ch 2.

R10: Sc in the next st – ch 1 - * skipping the next st [sc-ch1] in the next st * - repeat 4 more times – sc in the last st – turn – ch 2. (13) sts

R11: Sc in the next st - * skipping ch 1 – insert hook through the sc in the row below – draw loop through to same height as the row you are working – make loop on hook and draw through all loops on hook (long st) made – sc in the next st * - repeat 4 more times – sc in the last st – turn – ch 2.

R12: Sc in the next 2 sts – ch 1 - * skipping the next st – [sc – ch 1] in the next st * -repeat 3 more times – sc in the last 3 sts – turn – ch 2.

R13: Sc in the next 2 sts - * long st over the next ch 1 – sc in the next st * - repeat 3 more times – sc in the last 3 sts – turn – ch 2.

R14-R15: Repeat R10-R11.

R16: Sc in @ st across – turn – ch 3.

R17: Neck opening– Dc in the next 2 sts – ch 7 – skipping the next 7 sts – dc in the remaining 3 sts – turn – ch 2.

R18: Sc in @ st across – turn – ch 2

R19-R24: Repeat R10-R11 – R12-R13 – R10-R11. End of R24 – turn – ch 0.

Joining – With wrong side of work facing – folding at neck R17 – join R24 to the unused st of R8 – loosley - [2] scs in the first st – sc in the next 8 sts – [2] scs in the last st – finish off rose yarn. (12) sts

Collar

R1: Join rose yarn to the first unused back neck ch with a ch 4 – tr in the next 7 chs – tr in the center of the first dc of neck opening – tr in the next 7 sts – tr in the center of second dc of neck opening – join – ch 3. (16) sts

R2: Dc in @ st around – join – finish off rose yarn.

Sleeves

R1: Join Country Rose yarn to the first st of armhole with a ch 3 – dc in @ st up first side – dc in center of dc of neck R17 – dc in @ st down seconds side – join –ch 3. (17) sts

R2-R4: Dc the next [2] sts together – dc in the next 12 sts – dc the last [2] sts together – join – ch 3. End of R4 – finish off rose yarn. (15) (13) (11) sts. Repeat for 2^nd sleeve.

HAT

With Black yarn – starting at the crown – ch 3 – join to form a circle – ch 2.

R1: Work 9 scs in the center of circle – join – ch 2. (10) sts

R2: Sc in the same space - 2 scs in @ st around – join – ch 2. (20) sts

R3: Working in the back loops only – sc in @ st around – join – ch 3.

R4: Dc in @ st around – join – ch 4.

R5: Working in the front loops only – tr in @ st around – join – finish off black yarn.

BRIEFCASE

With Black yarn – starting at lower edge – ch 7 – turn – sc in 2^nd st from hook.

R1: 3 scs in the same space – sc in the next 4 chs – 4 scs in the end ch – turn – in unused loops of beginning ch – sc in the next 4 chs – join – ch 3. (16) sts

R2: Working in the back loops only – dc in @ st around – join – ch 3.

R3-R4: Dc in @ st around – join – ch 3. End of 4 – ch 1.

R5: Straps – sc next 4 sts – ch 5 – skip next 2 sts – sc next 6 sts – ch 5 – skip next 2 sts – sc next 2 sts – join – finish off black yarn.
