2 Ounces of 4 Ply Yarn – Windsor Blue

15" - Gold Metallic Plastic Canvas Cord

4" piece of ¼" Elastic – sewn into a circle

Skirt

Starting at upper edge – with Windsor Blue yarn – working over an elastic circle – 22 scs – join – ch 3.

R1-R2: Dc the next [2] sts together - dc in @ remaining st around - join - ch 3. (21)(20)(19) sts

R6: Dc in @ st around - join - finish off blue yarn.

Jacket

Starting at upper edge – with Windsor Blue yarn – ch 22 – join to form a circle – ch 3.

R1-R2: Dc in @ st around – join – ch 3.

R3: Dc in the next 11 sts – wrap yarn around hook twice – insert hook through the front loops of the dc in the row below – draw up a loop of yarn – work threads on hook off the same as for a tr (long st made) – working in the back loops only – dc in remaining 9 sts – join – ch 3.

R4: Dc in the next 3 sts – 2 dcs in the next st – dc in the next 7 sts – work long st in next st – working in back loops only in remaining sts – dc in next 4 sts – 2 dcs in next st – dc in last 4 sts – join – ch 3. (24) sts

R5: Dc in next 4 sts – 2 dcs in the next st – dc in the next 7 sts - work long st in the next st – working in back loops only in remaining sts – dc in the next 4 sts - 2 dcs in the next st – dc in the last 5 sts – join – ch 3. (26) sts

Join yarn to center upper back st – ch 3 – dc in next 2 sts – ch 5 – skipping next 5 sts – dc in the next st – hdc in next st – finish off yarn – join yarn to front loop of long st in row below – ch 4 – hdc in the next 2 sts – dc in the next st – ch 5 – skipping the next 5 sts – dc in the last 3 sts – join - finish off.

Sleeves

R1: Join yarn to center underarm st with a ch 3 - dc in @ st around - join - ch 3. (12) sts

R2: Dc the next [2] sts together - dc in the next 5 sts - dc the next [2] sts together - dc in the remaining 2 sts - join - ch 3. (10) sts

R3: Dc in @ st around - join - ch 3.

R4: Dc in next [2] sts together - dc in the remaining sts around - join - ch 3. (9) sts

R5-R6: Dc in @ st around - join - ch 3. End of R6 - join - turn - ch 4.

R7: With wrong side of work facing - working in back loops only - tr in the next st - * 2 trs in the next st - tr in the next 2 sts * - repeat around - join - finish off yarn. With a soft brush - brush both sides of row - fold back for cuff. (12) sts

Buttons

With Gold Metallic Cord - to the left of tr st - tie around bar of R7/R6 - * to the left of tr st - weave around the bar of the next row up * - repeat for @ row to top of jacket - finish off cord.
