Dress with a Flaux-Fur Collar

Materials Needed:

Size E Crochet Hook

2 oz. 4 Ply Yarn – Gold - Artichoke

Dress

With Gold yarn - starting at upper edge – ch 22 – join to form a circle.

R1: Dc in @ st around – join - ch 3. (22) sts

R2: Dc in the next 7 sts - dc the next [2] sts together - dc in the next 2 sts - dc the next [2] sts together - dc in the remaining 8 sts - join - ch 3. (20) sts

R3: Dc in the next 7 sts - * dc the next [2] sts together * - repeat once more - dc in the remaining 8 sts - join - ch 3. (18) sts

R4: Dc in the next 4 sts - 2 dcs in the next st - dc in the next 6 sts - 2 dcs in the next st - dc in the remaining 5 sts - join - ch 3. (20) sts

R5: Dc in the next 4 sts - 2 dcs in the next st - dc in the next 8 sts - 2 dcs in the next st - dc in the remaining 5 sts - join - ch 3. (22) sts

R6-R8: Dc in @ st around - join - ch 3. End of R8 - finish off gold yarn.

Strap

Join Gold yarn to upper center back st – ch 3 – dc in next 2 sts – ch 5 – skipping next 5 sts – dc in next st – hdc in the next st - sc in the next 2 sts - hdc in the next st - dc in the next st - ch 5 – skipping next 5 sts – dc in remaining 3 sts – join – turn - ch 4.

Collar

With wrong side of work facing - tr in the next 3 sts - * 2 trs in the next st - tr in the next st * - repeat a total of 3 times - 2 trs in the next st - skipping the next 2 sts - tr around the top loops of the next 2 sts of the row below - repeat *---* a total of 4 times - tr in the remaining st - join - finish off gold yarn. Using a soft brush - gently brush both sides of collar row. Fold collar to the front of work.

Sleeves

R1: Join Gold yarn to the center underarm st with a ch 3 - dc in @ remaining st around - join - ch 3. (12) sts

R2: Dc the next [2] sts together - dc in the next 5 sts - dc the next [2] sts together - dc in the remaining 2 sts - join - ch 3. (10 ) sts

R4: Dc the next [2] sts together - dc in the remaining sts - join - ch 3. (9) sts

R5-R6: Dc in @ st around - join - ch 3. End of R6 - finish off gold yarn.

Repeat for 2^nd sleeve.

Hat

With gold yarn - starting a crown - ch 3 - join to form a circle - ch 3.

R1: Work 9 dcs in center of circle - join - ch 2. (10 ) sts

R2: Sc in the same space - 2 scs in @ st around - join - ch 2. (20) sts

R3: Working in back loops only - sc in @ st around - join - ch 3.

R4: Dc in the next 9 sts - working in the front loops only dc in the remaining 10 sts - join - finish off gold yarn.

Feather

With Artichoke yarn - cut 7 - 3" threads and 1 - 5" thread.

With 5" thread [Stem] - tie a 1/4" loop on one end - tie @ of the 3" threads around remaining end of stem - knot 2^nd end of stem close to the last 3" thread. Trim all threads except long end of stem to 1/4" length.

With front of work facing - using remaining length of stem - attach feather to the 14^th st of R3. Roll left side of hat brim up over feather.
