Dress

With Hot Red yarn - starting at upper edge – ch 22 – join to form a circle.

R1-R3: Dc in @ st around – join - ch 3. (22) dc

R4: Working over an elastic circle – sc in @ st around – join – ch 3.

R5: * 2 dcs in next st – dc in next 2 sts * - repeat around – join – ch 3. (28) dc

R6: Dc in @ st around – join – ch 3.

R7: Dc in next st * 2 dcs in next st – dc in next 2 sts * - repeat around – join – ch 3. (37 dc)

R8: Dc in @ st around – join – ch 4.

R9: Ruffle - * Sc in next st – ch 3 * - repeat around – join. (37) loops

R10: Sl st into center of first ch 3 loop – ch 4 – repeat R9 – join.

R11: Sl st into center of first ch 3 loop – ch 5 - * sc in next loop – ch 4 * - repeat around – join. End of R12 – finish off red yarn.

Strap

R1: Join Hot Red yarn to upper center back st – ch 2 – sc in next 2 sts – ch 8 – skipping next 5 sts – sc in next 6 sts – ch 8 – skipping next 5 sts – sc in last 3 sts – join – ch 2. (28) sts

R2: * Sc in the next st – sc the next [2] sts together * - repeat 4 times total – sc in the next st – sl st through the next 2 sts – repeat * --- * in the remaining sts – join – finish off red yarn. (20) sts
