Side to Side – 3 Colored Dress

Materials Needed:

Size 00 Crochet Hook

2 oz. 4 Ply Yarn – Red - Mexicana - [Kids] Yellow - White

4" of ¼" elastic – sewn into a circle

Dress Skirt

With Red yarn - starting along first side seam - ch 16 - turn - dc in 4^th ch from hook.

R1: Dc in the next 10 sts - hdc in the next st - sc in the last st - turn - ch 2. (14) sts

R2: Working in front loops only - hdc in the next st - dc in the remaining 12 sts - ch 3. [Front of work.]

R3: Ruffle - Working along bottom edge - [sc -ch 2] in the center of end dc - [sc - ch 2] in row joining - [sc - ch 2] in the center of the next dc - sc around top thread of the 2^nd dc from bottom edge - finish off red yarn.

R4: With wrong side of work facing - working in front loops only - join Mexicana yarn to last dc of R2 with a ch 3 - dc in the next 11 sts - hdc in the next st - sc in the last st - turn - ch 2. (14) sts

R5-R6: Repeat R2-R3. End of R3 - finish off mexicana yarn.

R7-R9: With Yellow yarn - repeat R4-R6.

R10-R18: Repeat entire color sequence once more.

R19-R21: With Mexicana yarn - repeat R4-R6. End of R21 - finish off mexicana yarn.

Joining - Fold skirt with right sides of work facing - lining up side edges - join Red yarn with a ch 1 to lower edge through first unused loop of beginning ch and the front loop of last row - sl st through @ remaining st up entire side edge - ch 2.

Waistband - Working over an elastic circle at the same time - sc in the top of @ row around - join - finish off red yarn. (14) sts

Dress Top

R1: Join White yarn to upper center back st with a ch 3 - * dc in the next st - 2 dcs in the next st * - repeat around - join- ch 3. (20) sts

R2: Dc in the next 7 sts - 2 dcs in the next st - dc in the next st - 2 scs in the next st - dc in the remaining 8 sts - join - ch 3. (22) sts

R3: Dc in @ st around - join - ch 2.

R4: Strap - Sc in next 2 sts – ch 8 – skipping next 5 sts – sc in next 6 sts – ch 8 – skipping next 5 sts – sc in last 3 sts – join – ch 3.

R5: Trim - * Skipping the next st - [sc - ch2] in the next st * - repeat around - join - finish off white yarn.

Sleeves

R1: Join White yarn to center underarm st with a ch 3 - dc in st around - join - ch 3. (13) sts

R2: * Dc the next [2] sts together * - repeat around - join - ch 3.

R3: Trim - Sc in the next st - * sc - ch 2 * - repeat around - join - finish off white yarn.

Repeat for 2^nd Sleeve

Shawl

With Red yarn - ch 42 - turn - dc in 4^th ch from hook.

R1: [Wrong side of work] - Dc in @ st across - turn - ch 3. (40) sts

R2: Working in front loops only - dc in @ st across - turn - ch 2.

R3: Ruffle - Working along end of rows - * sc - ch 2 * in center of first dc - *--* in row joining - *--* in center next dc - sc in the last dc - finish off red yarn.

Repeat for 2^nd Shawl end.
