Side Panel Dress with Hairband

Materials Needed:

Size E Crochet Hook

2oz. 4 Ply Yarn – White - Emerald

Dress

Starting at the center back side edge – with White yarn – ch 23 loosely – turn – dc in the 4^th ch from hook.

R1: Dc in @ st across – turn – ch 3. [Right side of work] (21) sts

R2: Dc in the next 5 chs – sc in the next 3 chs – dc in the remaining 12 chs – turn – finish off white yarn. (21) sts

R3: Join Emerald yarn to the st just finished with a ch 3 - dc in the next 11 sts – sc in the remaining 9 sts – ch 6 – turn.

R4: Skipping the next 4 sts – sc in the next 4 sts – dc in the remaining 12 sts – turn – finish off green yarn.

R5: Join White yarn to the st just finished with a ch 3 – dc in the next 11 sts – sc in the next 3 sts – dc in the remaining st + dc in @ 5 chs – turn – ch 3. (21) sts

R6: Dc in @ st across – turn – ch 2.

R7: Sc in @ st across – turn – ch 3.

R8: Dc in @ st across – turn – ch 3.

R9: Dc in the next 11 sts – sc in the next 3 sts – dc in the remaining 6 sts – turn – finish off white yarn.

R10: Join Emerald yarn to the st just finished with a ch 2 – sc in the next 8 sts – dc in the remaining 12 sts – turn – ch 3.

R11: Dc in the next 11 sts – sc in the next 4 sts – ch 6 – skipping the remaining 5 sts – join to the beginning ch of R10 – finish off green yarn.

R12: Join White yarn to the 6^th ch of R11 with a ch 2 – sc in the next 8 sts – dc in the remaining 12 sts – turn – ch 3. (21) sts

R13: Dc in @ st across – turn – ch 2.

R14: Sc in @ st across – turn – ch 1.

Assembling – Fold work with right sides together – wrong side facing – working thought both layers – sl st loosely from bottom edge of dress to the top – finish off white yarn.

Upper Dress Trim – Join Emerald yarn to the upper center back st with a ch 2 – work 19 scs evenly spaced around top edge – join – finish off green yarn. (20) sts

Hairband

With White yarn – ch 18 – join to form a circle – ch 2.

R1: Sc in @ st around – join – drop white yarn. (18) sts

R2: Join Emerald yarn to joining st with a ch 2 – sc in @ st around – join – finish off green yarn.

R3: Join White yarn to joining with a ch 2 – sc in @ st around – join – finish off white yarn.
